Life Safety: Pre-Implementation of the EAP
The Fire Safety Director, upon notification that an emergency has occurred in the building or in close proximity to the building, shall take the following actions:
- Report to the Fire Command Station and assume the role of the Building Evacuation Supervisor as soon as possible should evacuation become necessary.
- Should Fire Command Station be affected by the incident, use an alternate communication method (e.g. phone, radio, verbal, bullhorn, etc.)
- Ensure 911 is called to report the incident.
- Initiate the EAP for the appropriate emergency.
