Life Safety: Suspicious Package
The Fire Safety Director, upon notification that a suspicious package is on the premises, shall take the following actions:
- Ensure 911 has been notified of the incident.
- Report as much information about the package as possible
- Instruct occupants in the vicinity of the package:
- Not to touch or move the package.
- Not to open the package.
- To isolate the package and leave the immediate area.
- Consider holding an elevator car at the lobby level for the responding authorities.
